Cadillac is the eleventh team — the first new entry since Haas joined in 2016. Behind the brand is General Motors, with operating partner TWG Motorsports (Andretti Global). Facilities span Charlotte and Indianapolis in the US plus a UK base at Silverstone for European race operations.

The 2026 car uses a Ferrari customer power unit. GM is developing its own in-house F1 engine, scheduled to debut in 2028. The team principal is Graeme Lowdon, an experienced motorsport operator who ran the old Manor team a decade ago.

The driver pairing is heavy on experience by design: Valtteri Bottas (ten-time race winner, Mercedes 2017–2021) and Sergio Pérez (six-time winner, Red Bull 2021–2024). Both were free agents in 2025; Cadillac was the team that came calling.
